Fresh vs. Salty

The month of May was beautifully (unseasonably) warm in Halifax. And so we walked, strolled, and swam in an effort to forget our homesickness for our little island in the middle of the Mediterranean. In just a week we'll be home, and I can't wait. Because for me, lakes will never compare to the sea.

Are you a fresh water lake or a salty sea person? In our house it's an even split, but lately Ellie is the tiebreaker. Because salt water tastes bad to a diving dog.

  1. I can't believe your stay in Canada is just about over!

I think I appreciate both lakes and seas : I love a relaxing morning coffee or an evening cocktail overlooking either - I'm not a good swimmer so swimming in a lake is easier sans waves however, I love the clear, blue sea water. It's a toss up for me!

  2. I'm definitely a salt water lover! I also enjoy wake boarding every now and again, but prefer lounging on the beach or scuba diving over it any day :)

Enjoy your last few days at home!

  3. I was SHOCKED to *taste* find out how salty sea water is. I grew up next to a large freshwater lake, so I feel like I'm gurgling saltwater when I swim here in Malta! ButI have to admit, the sea takes the cake for visual beauty.

    See you guys soon! :)
