Meet The Stroke (Formerly Mike and Jess in Malta)

Welcome to The Stroke: My new digital home. Yes, I'm still in Malta, travelling and living abroad. But I'm growing and evolving too. It's time my blog reflected that.

Regular readers may have noticed an absence of Malta-related writing around here lately. This year I've felt compelled to write about other topics, but with a blog title like "Mike and Jess in Malta" I didn't feel that my blog was the right place to do that. And a blog should never leave you feeling constrained.

The Stroke is the best way I can describe who I am and the life I live. Pen strokes, key strokes, brush strokes, forward strokes, back strokes, strokes of luck, strokes of colour, strokes of time, bold strokes, and strokes of insight.

I'm excited to experiment in this space.

If you're here for photos and stories about beautiful Mediterranean islands and European travel, good news! Those aren't going anywhere. (And Mike? Even though he's no longer in the title, he's not going anywhere either.) But I feel compelled enough to reach for more difficult, eclectic topics that I'm okay with loosing some readers and followers as I switch paths. Regardless, I hope you'll stick with me as I transform this into a place where I document life, wherever and however it unfolds.

New domain: www.blog-jess.com
New Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram handles
New Bloglovin feed

Mike and Jess in Malta (mike-jess.com) will now be redirecting to The Stroke.
If you already follow me using Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram my handle has changed but I'm still there - no need to re-add me. However, I do recommend switching to my new feed. If you follow by email I also recommend re-subscribing using the tool on the left sidebar (scroll down from here slightly).

    1. Thank you so much Edna!

I did. I blog not only for the love of writing, but to learn new skills and polish up old ones (graphic design included). Keeps me on my toes ;)

  5. Oh my goodness Jess - I LOVE IT. Have been hiding in a deep internet-void hole for the last few weeks preparing for the move to London, so sorry I didn't comment sooner. But this is fabulous. Cannot wait to read tons more.
