Things I learned in Sicily

We just returned from a long weekend in Sicily with my in-laws and our pups.

Here is what I learned.

Don't leave dog kibble in a plastic bag on the floor if you are staying in a cabin in the woods.

Termites will eat through the bag, letting their five thousand ant friends in to snack away (gross)

And then your dogs will starve.

My brown dog still prefers pine cones to tennis balls.

October is my favourite month in Italy. Perfect weather, less crowds.

My Italian skills aren't as awful as I thought.

I can now ask for and receive directions, restaurant recommendations, food, and wine.

My cani are carino. The black one is timido and the brown one is pazzo.

Our car is about this size and squeezing four adults and two dogs in it is somehow possible.

The beaches in Sicily are huge and sandy and soft like in Canada.

And I still love Sicily like no other place I've ever been.

  1. Love this!

Glad you had a nice trip.

  2. I think it's a crime I've not been to Sicily more with it being so close. It's definitely on my list for next year. I also have dog envy :)

    1. Do it! The ferry rates are much cheaper in the winter, too :)

  3. I would love to go one day!
Your pup is adorable. Pinecones are maybe good for the teeth? ;) ;)

    1. You definitely should! Plenty to do with little ones in Sicily, too.

      Thanks for popping by :)

Let's talk.
